  I attended one of the very first meetings at Halliford school.
  Surrey C C put together a panel
  of professional people to weigh up the pros and cons of this so called Eco Centre. It was a blatant fit up, the general public present were not allowed to put their concerns to the panel so they had no voice in airing their opposition to this
  scheme that no one wants in Spelthorne.

  Quite apart from what will come out of the indecently high smokestack, this whole thing stinks. It's quite clear that all caution is being thrown literally to the winds in an attempt to bulldoze this through. The elected Councillors are there principally to represent the opinion of their constituents, and protect the environment & elector's best interests. Building this incinerator does none of those things. Anyone who re-elects a councillor who has in any way supported this project deserves everything they get (except that everyone else will pay for their 'rubbish' judgement too). Come on county councillors - have the courage of your convictions. Chuck it out. Now.

  A gasifier that's not a gasifier, but an incinerator? County Councillors taking a second trip to Bergamo to look once again at an incinerator? All with a view to further pollute the air we breath and increase Sita's profits? All paid for by us? Make those councillors involved in this dark and murky affair pay. Vote them out at the next election. But in the interim, please Spelthorne Borough Council, take the matter back again to Judicial Review.
